This course allows developing knowledge and skills to properly use a dry suit. It will discuss the types of dry suits, accessories, maintenance and how to make basic repairs.
What will you learn?
The dry suit is used for dives in cold water reservoirs. This specialty is developed for the training of skills and knowledge on the application of the dry suit, use of accessories, correct storage, and the basic repair methods. During the course, participants will consider types of dry suits, features of their use, storage, and maintenance. Training in closed water and two dives in open water help to train control and maintenance of buoyancy, the performance of proper procedures in case of emergencies with the use of the dry suit.
Two dives are required with complete briefs and debrief by the instructor. Dive plan must include surface interval, maximum no-decompression time, etc. to be figured out and logged
Essential prerequisites for participants
- Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certificate;
- Minimal age – 18 (eighteen) years. Age from 15 (fifteen) years – with the written permission of parents.
