What will you learn?

Dive propulsion vehicle is perfect for fans of underwater swimming, sports entertainments, and active recreation on water, as well as for covering of big distances at the cave or wreck dives. The course includes learning of physical phenomena of dives, advantages of the use of dive propulsion vehicle (DPV), types of DPVs and accessories for them, planning of dives and safety rules. The course proposes two dives in open water for working out of skills of correct use, maintenance, storage, and transportation of DPV.

This course is designed to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of using a DPV in a non-overhead environment. This specialty is developed to train divers to use the underwater scooter and to familiarize them with skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and risks at the use of DPV in simple conditions.

Two dives are required with complete briefs and debrief by the instructor. Dive plan must include surface interval, maximum no-decompression time, etc. to be figured out and logged

Essential prerequisites for participants

  • Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certificate;
  • Minimal age – 18 (eighteen) years. Age from 15 (fifteen) years – with the written permission of parents.
