Course description
The course considers phenomena of physics and physiology, additional risks arising at deep-water dives, features of decompression-free and decompression dives. Close attention is drawn to careful planning of dives, specificity of the equipment for deep dives, correct use of the personal computer. The course includes two dives in the open water and can be combined with Computer Diving specialty.
Purpose of course
The purpose of this course is to provide the necessary training to plan and execute dives that are outside the range of depths that are experienced during an SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course, specifically beyond 18 meters and to a maximum depth of not greater than 40 meters
Divesites to take Deep Diver Specialty
Essential prerequisites for participants.
- Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certificate
- Minimal age – 18 (eighteen) years. Age from 15 (fifteen) years – with the written permission of parents.
